WORLD BEHIND MY WALL

People think I'm strong but really, underneath this shell lies two very different personalities. Ever wondered why you could never figure me out? That's because you're not seeing the two personalities as being separate from each other. One of them is tough, bitter, disillusioned, swears, and doesn't want anything to do with insufferable bloody idiots; The other one is innocent, forever hopeful, idealistic, loves fairytales and looks forward to finding the perfect man. Both of them know that the perfect man is: 1) NOT an idiot. 2) Enjoys and appreciates their sense of humour. 3) Can handle her mood swings. 4) Able to keep up with her or, better yet, be one step ahead of her sometimes.

Raining dogs

I went to a law firm with my dad today. It was raining like it had been the last two days. I said it was an omen but no one listened. I don't know if it signifies something good or bad but surely it must mean something? After all, three days of rain is pretty significant in my book. Maybe we are going to have a flood, maybe not, who knows? But I digress. The law firm was pretty small and cramped. There were at least seven persons in the office. They had too many files to keep all of them on the book shelves so a considerable number of them went on the floor. They only had two spare chairs, which we occupied when we reached. The whole place was busy but lacked order. Gave me a pretty poor first impression, to be honest. Then we sat there for some time while one of the women asked us to follow her into another office where we signed a sheet of paper each and left. Then I photographed two stray dogs that happened to be around the shop lots, hiding from the rain. Poor things, those dogs, they were flea-bitten and tried futilely to sooth their wounds by licking them. They looked desolate and unwanted. The sight of them really touched me. I saw that they could have easily been healthy, well-fed and loved if their fates had been slightly different. I wonder if ending up in the dog pound would be better for them.
